Biography
Dr. Geoff Bradley was awarded a BA (Mod) in Theoretical Physics in 1997 and an MSc. in High Performance Computing in 1998 from Trinity College. He received a Fellowship in High Performance Computing and completed his PhD. in Trinity in 2000.
In November 2000, he took a position as Technical Project officer at the Trinity Centre for High Performance Computing - an interdisciplinary research centre. Initially, this job involved collaborative research with groups in Pharmaceutics (Dr. Anne-Marie Healy & Prof. Eoin Corrigan), Magnetism, Physics (Prof. Mike Coey) and Foams, Phyiscs (Prof. Denis Weaire). Subsequent research focused on pre-commercial contracts, Enterprise Ireland STIWRO, Electrical Engineering (Prof. Frank Boland), and a number of commercial projects with Irish software companies.
In 2004, Dr. Bradley received a research fellowship from Trinity and became technical projects Manager where he co-authored a successful FP6 Marie Curie TOK on Molecular Dynamics and had responsibility for a number of EU 5th, 6th and 7th Framework High Performance Computing and Grid Computing related projects - ENACTS and HPC-Europa.
In 2007, Dr. Bradley was appointed Acting Director for the Centre for High Performace Computing. From 2007-2011 he co-authored a number of successful SFI, PRTLI4 and 5 grant applications for e-INIS and the National Audio Visual Repository (now know as Digital Repository Ireland).
In 2011, Dr. Bradley was appointed Senior IT Manager in Information Systems Services where he assumed responsibility for the Computer Systems Group of Systems and Network Services and retained responsibility for High Performance and Research Computing.
