Dr. Emma Otterski

Teaching Fellow (Philosophy)

I am a teaching fellow at Trinity College Dublin. I completed my PhD at the University of Edinburgh, with a thesis entitled 'Mindreading in context', in the area of social cognition. Before that I undertook a master's at St Peter's College, Oxford, and undergraduate degree, once again, at the University of Edinburgh.
Applied Philosophy   Comparative psychology   Philosophy of cognitive science   Philosophy of gender   Philosophy of mind   Philosophy of science   Social cognition   Social philosophy
I am interested in philosophy of mind and cognitive science, feminist and social philosophy, and philosophy of science (and especially trying to bring all three areas together). At the moment I am thinking about social cognition in non-human animals and the role of sense modalities other than vision.
