Lewis Winning is Professor / Consultant in Restorative Dentistry, at the Dublin Dental University Hospital, Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. His main research focus is the impact of oral health on general health. He completed his undergraduate dental training (BDS) at University of Dundee, Scotland, 2004. This was followed by specialty training firstly in Periodontology (DChDent) at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, 2010. He then completed further specialty training in Restorative Dentistry, and also completed his research doctorate (PhD) at Queen's University Belfast, Northern Ireland 2018. Current TCD research projects include the oral health aspects of the Irish Longitudinal Study of Aging (TILDA) study, and the Dublin Oral Health in PREVENT (OHiP) dementia study.
