Research examines the history of the graphic arts in Britain and Ireland from the beginnings of modernist fine art printmaking in the 1800s to contemporary multidisciplinary print practices. Current focus includes; Irish artists and their involvement in illustration and limited edition fine art publishing c.1830 to 1930; the Etching Revival in Ireland 1880 - 1930. Freud Project, Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin - academic mentor for postdoctoral research programme. (2018-2019) Cuala Project with TCD Library (2020-2023) - lead PI - researching Cuala Press' contribution to the private press movement and creation of a digital database for TCD Cuala Press collection.
