My chief area of interest is in Greek Philosophy, and in particular Plato and the Platonic Tradition, with special reference to the Old Academy. Middle Platonism and Neoplatonism. I have an interest also in the philosophy of the early Fathers of the Christian Church, such as Origen and the Cappadocian Fathers, and in Islamic philosophy, in particular Sufism.
