Dr. Indrakshi Dey

Adjunct Assistant Professor (CONNECT)

I am an EDGE MSCA Research Fellow at CONNECT in Trinity College Dublin (TCD). I received the M.Sc. degree in wireless communications from the University of Southampton, Southampton, U.K., in 2010 with First Class and Distinction, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Calgary, Calgary, Canada, in 2015. From July 2015 to May 2016, I worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Ultra-Maritime Digital Communication Centre (UMDCC), Dalhousie University, Halifax, Canada. In 2016, I won the prestigious research fellowship from European Research Consortium for Information and Mathematics (ERCIM) and, worked as a Research Fellow from June 2016 to May 2017 at the Dept. of Electronics and Telecommunications, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Trondheim, Norway. From 2005 to 2007, I was employed at Rtronix Communications Pvt. Ltd. in New Delhi, India. At Rtronix, I was responsible for integrating and designing of end-to-end communication systems for VSAT applications and disaster management systems used in Indian Railways, Airways and Navy. Fromm 2007 to 2009, I was employed at Al Bashiri Group, Sana'a, Yemen, one of the largest EPC company of Republic of Yemen, where I was involved with the integration of end-to-end communication systems for mining quarries and multi-dwelling units.
