Dr. Kisito F. Nzembayie is a scholar"practitioner in entrepreneurship with a PhD in Digital Entrepreneurship. His work examines how digital technologies shape entrepreneurial strategy, new venture creation, and organisational transformation. He is Director of the MSc in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, a leading European programme, where he provides academic leadership focused on developing entrepreneurial mindsets and innovative capabilities across diverse contexts. Dr. Kisito"s research spans entrepreneurship, information systems, management education, and action research, with a particular emphasis on digitally enabled entrepreneurship and digital transformation. He is the author of Digital Entrepreneurship: Disruption and New Venture Creation (Edward Elgar, 2022) and has published in leading journals of his field including Technovation, Journal of Business Venturing Insights, Technology in Society, Management Learning, Creativity and Innovation Management, and European Management Review. He has served as a reviewer for top-tier journals such as the Journal of Business Venturing and as a Guest Editor for a special issue on Digital Entrepreneurship in Technovation. He holds a Postgraduate Certificate in University Learning and Teaching and is known for delivering engaging, research-informed, high-impact and practice-oriented teaching across postgraduate and executive education. With over 12 years of professional and entrepreneurial experience in China and fluency in multiple languages, including Mandarin, he brings a strong global perspective to his teaching, particularly in areas such as international entrepreneurship. Alongside his academic career, Dr. Kisito is a serial digital entrepreneur, having founded and scaled multiple EdTech ventures in primary education that have collectively reached over 100 million global visits. This combination of scholarship and practice underpins his approach as an engaged scholar, connecting theory with real-world action. His current interests include digital transformation, platform-based entrepreneurship, generative AI in entrepreneurship and management, and institutional entrepreneurship.
