Project Title
A pilot study to characterise resident memory T cells in the skin of hidradenitis suppurativa patients
From
1st October 2019
To
30th September 2020
Summary
The purpose of this study is to carry out a detailed phenotypical analysis of resident memory T cells in uninvolved and lesional HS skin using state of the art flow cytometry, in order to better understand HS pathogenesis. This study will serve as a pilot study to leverage further funding.

Project Title

From
1st July 2019
To
30th June 2020
Summary
Composition of innate lymphoid cell subsets in skin and blood of patients with hidradenitis suppurative and correlation with disease severity and response to treatment
Funding Agency
The city of Dublin skin and cancer hospital charity
Project Title
Targeting dysregulated bioenergetics in the inflamed rheumatoid arthritis joint
From
February 2016
To
June 2019
Summary
This project aims to: 1.Identify the bioenergetics profile of cells from the joints of RA patients and to correlate the presence of glycolytic markers with disease activity and response to treatment; 2. Determine the role of hypoxia in promoting glycolysis and inflammation in synovial T cells and fibroblasts and 3. Assess the therapeutic potential of compounds targeting glycolysis in RA.
