I was the first Irish Respiratory Trainee to be awarded a prestigious European Respiratory Society Training & Research Fellowship to train & do research in the Intensive Care Unit at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London 2002 - 2003
I was awarded an instructor Certificate in Acute Life-threatening Events Recognition & Treatment (ALERT) Ireland, for training healthcare professionals in Ireland in how to recognise clinical parameters in deteriorating hospitalised patients in Ireland 2003
I was privileged to be awarded 2 Clinical Excellence Awards, from Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, for establishing and running an acute & domicilary non-invasive respiratory ventilation support unit, and a respiratory sleep disorders unit 2007
