Professor Ignacio Martin-Loeches

Ignacio Martin-Loeches, MD, PhD, FJFICMI is a full-time Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine at St James's Hospital and Professor at Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland. He is the chair of the Acute Critical Care Group at the European Respiratory Society (ERS) and the elected Chair for research at the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM). He is the Past-Chair of CoBaTrICE (International Competency Based Training programme in Intensive Care Medicine for Europe and other world regions) under the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM) and elected council member of the World Federation of Societies of Intensive and Critical Care Medicine. He is part of the Steering committee and executive member of the research-working group of the Surviving Sepsis Campaign (SSC). He is principal Investigator of European Regional Development Funds (ERDF), Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) grants and the European Network for ICU-related infections (ENIRRIs) under the European Respiratory Society (ERS).
