Dr Cho is a researcher in urban studies, focusing on participatory planning and the inclusion/exclusion of ethnic minorities in planning processes. Since completing her PhD at UCL's Bartlett School of Planning in 2019, her research has expanded to include the use of digital technology in planning and its impact on inclusive planning. Currently a Research Fellow at Trinity College Dublin, Dr Cho works on EU Horizon 2020 projects, focusing on mapping and analysing food sharing initiatives. Her interdisciplinary work includes developing automated data systems and investigating the social implications of urban data use.

Dr Cho"s research focuses on the inclusion and exclusion of ethnic minorities within urban planning, with a growing interest in how digital technology shapes these processes. Her work critically examines the construction of knowledge around data and maps, particularly in relation to the participation of marginalised communities in planning.
