Biography

Dr Daly was appointed as Consultant Cardiologist in St James Hospital in 2010, and has held the post of Senior Clinical Lecturer Trinity College Dublin since 2011. She completed undergraduate studies in Trinity College Dublin, graduating with honours in 1995, became a member of the Royal College of Physicians in 1997 and entered higher specialist training in Cardioloogy in 1998. Between 1998 and 2000 she completed the Trinity MSc in Cardiology. Two years of clinical cardiology in Dublin were followed by 7 years in London where she completed a PhD through Imperial College London, and also continued clinical cardiology training including subspecialist cardiac imaging training in the Royal Brompton Hospital before an advanced imaging fellowship in the Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston in 2008. She then returned to Dublin as director of cardiac imaging in CAMI, the Centre for Advanced Medical Imaging in St James Hospital. From 2010 she was appointed as a full time consultant cardiologist in St James and through cooperation with the Radiology department, has developed St James to be the largest public provider of advanced cardiac imaging in the country, nuclear, MRI and CT. From 2011 she has been the director of the Heart Failure serivce in St James's and since 2014 the Clinical Lead for Cardiology
