Biography

Graduate of UCD (1968- 1971) B Soc.Science Post Graduate Diploma in Statistics, Trinity College Dublin 1972 1971- 1973: Research Assistant, Economic and Social Research Institute, Dublin 1973- 1974: Post Graduate Fellow, Dept of Sociology, Uiversity of Essex; 1974: MA University of Essex 1975-79: Research Officer, National Combat Poverty Committee, Dublin 1979-1980: Research Officer, Institute of Public Administration, Dublin 1980- 84: Lecturer in Social Policy, University College Cork (NUI) 1984-1986: Research Officer, Commission on Social Welfare, Dublin 1986- 1992: Social Policy Analyst, NMESC, Dublin 1992- currently: Lecturer in Social Policy, Trinity College Dublin.
